Dan’s Engineering are pleased to announce that we have achieved the ISO 9001  Quality Management System certification from Centre for Assessment, a third party UKAS accredited certification body. The ISO 9001 certification demonstrates our commitment to quality provision throughout the core supply of our business which remains the design, manufacture and installation of steel fabrications.

We are very pleased to have achieved this certification as we have now been officially recognised for our continuous process improvement and dedication to maintaining a quality management system.

This most recent benchmark now gives the company an integrated management system incorporating ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and EN1090 CE marking.

We are pleased to announce that Dan’s Engineering was successful in achieving certification to the prestigious environmental certification BS EN 14001 from Centre for Assessment, a third party UKAS accredited certification body.We recognise the importance of environmental protection and have become committed to operating our business responsibly and in compliance with all legal requirements relating to its scope of activities.

As well as this accreditation making the company aware of its responsibility to the environment, it also presents an excellent opportunity for the business to meet current economic goals and open new market sectors.

OHSAS 18001

We are pleased to announce that Dan's Engineering has achieved registration to OHSAS 18001 from Centre for Assessment, a third party UKAS accredited certification body. OHSAS 18001 is the internationally recognised assessment standard and specification for occupational health and safety management systems which was developed by the leading trade and international standards and certification bodies. We view our accreditation to OHSAS 18001 as a significant landmark in the company's history, and we are proud of the collective efforts from all of the staff.  We have shown improvements throughout the company and have developed a culture which is committed to progress.

CE Marking of Structural Steelwork

We are pleased to announce that the British Board of Agrément has recommended us for approval of the BS EN 1090-1 regulations that come into force as of July 2014. After this date it will be illegal to trade fabricated steelwork and related products on the European market. Gaining third party product approval from a recognised UKAS accredited certification body like the BBA is a vital ingredient for construction product manufacturers to gain acceptance with specifiers, building control, local authorities and industry insurers.

We have chose to appoint C2 Safety who are award winning health and safety experts based in Bridgwater. C2 Safety are a professional Nebosh qualified team, with client dedicated Safety Advisors, working with us to keep our business legal, they know the regulations and make them understandable and help implement them in our business.

We are delighted to confirm that we have recruited Jordan Buller from Bridgwater on a welding and fabrication apprenticeship training scheme starting in September.

SolidWorks 2013

After carefull consideration we have decided to upgrade our computer aided design capabilities and have purchased a SolidWorks 2013 license. SolidWorks delivers us robust 3D design capabilities and performance. Not only can we create fully detailed parts, assemblies, and production-level drawings, but we can access all the tools required to generate complex surfaces, sheet metal flat patterns, and structural welded assemblies. SolidWorks also includes wizards to perform stress analysis, and determine the environmental impact of components.
